Jacqueline K. Ogburn worked in New York book publishing for 10 years, primarily as a children's book editor. She is also the author of several picture books, including Scarlett Angelina Wolverton-Manning, illustrated by Brian Ajar (Dial) and The Reptile Ball, illustrated by John O'Brien. Just out is The Jukebox Man (Dial), illustrated by James Ransome. Currently living in Durham, NC, she teaches classes on writing picture books, serves on the board of a nonprofit publisher, and takes care of her two daughters, who provide contribute equal parts inspiration and distraction to her writing.
